With over 35 years of experience in the exploration industry, Donna combines a strong academic foundation with hands-on knowledge of farm and ranch life. Her diverse skill set has made her a trusted leader in land management and stakeholder relations, respected for her ability to navigate complex challenges.
Donna has led land departments across multiple companies, where she has designed and implemented permitting systems that ensure both accuracy and efficiency throughout the landowner permitting process. At Synterra, she oversees landowner and stakeholder negotiations, drawing on her agricultural background to foster strong relationships and secure favourable agreements. Her unwavering integrity and commitment to her work have earned her the trust and respect of landowners and industry peers across Western Canada.
As a founding partner of Synterra, Donna is dedicated to the success of both her team and the company’s mission. Her leadership plays a key role in the exceptional project execution for which Synterra is known.
Donna holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Alberta. Outside of her professional life, she is passionate about land and animals. She co-founded two animal rescues—Positive Match Rescue and Dogs in Need Organisation—while caring for her own horses, dogs, cats, and chickens.
